sad movie endings

do you like when a movie ends on a happy note? most people do. if film makers want to maximize profits at the box office, they stay away from sad or tragic endings

look a the movie titanic. they even figured out a way to make you smile at the end of that film!

i must admit that i do like sad/tragic endings to movies. even as a kid, the disney template of “and they lived happily ever after” was never appealing to me.

what determines a good movie to me is the story/plot. and if it serves the story better to have a sad or tragic ending then so be it.
